After graduating from Cottonwood I packed my bags and moved to Washington, D.C. to complete a degree in International Relations. When I finished my program at American University's School of International Service a year early I began working for a foundation that focused on human rights. I later returned to AU as part-time student to earn an graduate certificate in Cross-Cultural Communication. During this time I continued to enjoy working with amazing people from all over the world and helping make a positive difference in people's lives. I eventually moved on to work at the national office of the League of Women Voters as a Global Democracy Specialist. This job included many duties, but my favorite was bringing delegations from the former Soviet Union to the United States to exchange ideas about democracy with American leaders. I also got to practice my Russian! In my spare time I enjoy traveling and volunteering. Which is why this past January, after spending nearly ten years working hard in D.C., I decided to move to the Republic of Georgia to become a volunteer English teacher for 6 months. Some of my favorite places are Budapest, Moscow, Istanbul, Tbilisi, and Yerevan. I just finished my second build with Habitat for Humanity in Romania and am now settling into life in London where I will be beginning an intensive one-year Masters program at the London School of Economics. Sorry I can't be there!
