After graduation I worked for a Title Company as a Disbursement Manager. In 2004, I met and fell in love with Archie Hoggan. We were married in June 2005. In March 2009 we had a beautiful little girl. Since the day I met Archie he wanted the name Indiana. I was hesitant at first, but I finally gave in. Her name fits her perfectly. Indiana had a stroke immediately after birth and spent a week at Primary Children's Hospital. The stroke was so severe they told us she would have cerebral palsy as well as other problems. They couldn't tell us why she had the stoke. Nine months later I also had a stroke. Miraculously, neither one of us have any problems. Indie is now one of the smartest and most active two year olds that I know. We are now living in Spokane Washington where Archie is attending Gonzaga Law School, and I am fortunate enough to be a stay at home mom. Tuesday, April 26, 2011

Emily Foster
Emily Foster, attended Cottonwood High in 1998 with my classmates from Utah School for the Deaf and Blind. I was fully capable of talking, even though my hearing loss had nearly dropped off the cart, as I am profoundly deaf. That definitely explains the good sleeps I get, nice and quiet.
Through the years of attending Cottonwood High, by our USDB (Utah School for Deaf and Blind), we were forced to mingle with our classmates who were Total Communicated (can't talk, full hand signing). Boy, what an adventure!! Some of our classmates weren't thrilled to cope with signing. But not this girl, Emily, I joined a group of deaf friends who were totally talking with their hands. However, little I knew about sign language in general. Hey, look on the bright side, I was a pro at lip-reading, (secretly - that was my advantage to pick up the conversations and learn sign language). The group was stunned that I was able to pick up pretty well with signing and enjoyed signing, it was like a well known coded way of talking. That was fun and memorable.
While I attended Cottonwood High, I was involved in art, photography and still learning sign language. I took a class for the year book photography in my junior year. That turned out well.
Here was a challenging part, in my senior year, prepare yourself, I was attending three schools at one time.
-Utah School for the Deaf
-Cottonwood High
-Jordan Tech Center - vet tech assistance
Holy smokes! What a serious hand full I had... The JTC classes didn't succeed. There were too many complications, but it was fun at the same time.
As of 2011, What has changed?
Sign language: improved dramatically and does interpreting one on one upon request. I can't do a group, that's out of order.
Art: I am learning how to do tattooing! It's pretty slow, but fun.
Drawings: same ol thing.
Kids? You betcha, one little princess name, Tazsie.
And last but not the least, I am still deaf, that hasn't changed for decades. I still have the love for music.
If you recognized me, you can definitely find me on Facebook.

After graduation, I went to the U, where I graduated in 2006 with a BA in History. I spent the 5 years I was at the U raising hell (in general), travelling (Rome, Italy amongst others), speaking for assault victims' rights (after thwarting an assaulter on campus in December of 2002), and running restaurants/bars in Salt Lake (most notably Mo's downtown where I still occasionally put in an appearance). In 2007, I met a Marine who went to West High. We got married and had our first child (Wyatt) in September 2008. In April 2010, our other son (Landon) was born. Since I'd worked as an insurance underwriter since graduating from the U, in October 2010, I decided to use all the underwriting background to begin my own agency. Now that I have a great job, and great employees, I get to spend most of my day at home with my (very) energetic boys. Chasing these two monsters around all day is a far cry from the halls of Cottonwood, yet somehow it doesn't feel like it's really been 10 years.
Lyndsie (Garrick) Anderson
After graduation, I went to the University of Utah, where I began dating Daniel Anderson, also a Cottonwood graduate (from a few years earlier). We dated for almost two years and were married in 2003. I received my teaching degree and taught first grade—the best job ever! In September 2007, we had our first baby boy named Makai. I have been a stay at home mom ever since. In June 2009, we had twin girls, Bailee and Rylin. Makai is now three years old. He currently has an obsession with dinosaurs, pirates, and Disneyland, and he is constantly making us laugh. Bailee and Rylin will be two soon, and they are the biggest copycats and chatterboxes I’ve ever met! They love to follow their big brother everywhere, but they don't do anything without the other. They sure are fun. We just moved from Murray just a few houses away from the house I grew up in. So our kids will be Cottonwood Colts as well! Our house is nothing short of chaos every minute! But we love it.

After high school, I got my pharmacy tech license and worked at a pharmacy for five years. While I was there, a coworker set me up on a blind date with his brother, Zach, and we were married in August 2004. I continued to work full time while Zach played tennis for Weber State and I went to Taylor Andrews Academy part time and got my cosmetology license. I then began working for my father in law as his executive secretary. Last year I decided to go back to school (again!) and I got my CNA license with hopes of some day getting my RN. In April 2008 we had our first daughter, Caidence Leah. She is one smart sassy pants! In August 2010 she was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, but it hasn't slowed her down a bit. She is looking forward to a summer full of soccer, swimming, and gymnastics. In March 2010 we had our second daughter, Jordyn Jade. She is 100% a mama's girl, loves to follow Caidence around, and loves to torment our Great Dane Franklin. Even thoughI have a pharmacy tech, cosmetology, and CNA license, I now have the best job in the world, stay at home mom! We are currently living in Murray, back in Cottonwood boundaries.
Can't wait to see everyone this Summer!

Since Cottonwood I tried to get out of town as much as possible with all kinds of wacky adventures in the form of a LDS mission in Belo Horizonte Brazil, study abroad in Oviedo Spain, internships in DC and Lima, and a month in Europe watching World Cup games and running with the bulls... Since I had to grow up eventually I decided to get a real job, so I became an insurance agent. I really lucked out one day when I met my beautiful and, thankfuly, patient wife at a wedding in California, I convenietly married her right before I lost all my hair. After 3 and a half years we had my best adventure yet, Findley Jon. It's been a fast 10 years!!!

Lindsey (Sorensen) Pizza
After high school I went to the University of Utah, studying Business. I also rushed as a Chi Omega, and enjoyed every minute of it. March of my first year of college I met Chris Pizza and was married later that year. After being married for 3 years we moved to Draper and have stayed ever since. In 2007 we had our little boy, Will, who is now 3 1/2. He loves to play anything boy, loves anything his dad does, loves preschool, and is my little shadow. In 2009, we had our little girl, Kaya, who is now 18 months, she is full of life and loves to be in the middle of everything, loves everything her brother does, and loves to give hugs and slobbery kisses. I enjoy being the mom of those little monsters! And can't believe how fast time has flown by! Feels like yesterday I was walking past all of you in the halls of Good ole' C-WOOD!
